An art collector's residence
A Studio apartment in an old bungalow at Malabar Hill which revealed its beautiful wooden roof structure when the false ceiling was ripped open. This forms the focus of the volume in the expansion and renovation of the original space along with a strikingly painted sculptural form that sits within this volume, concealing a guest toilet. Highly polished black stone flooring heightens the sense of drama in the space.
